Earlier on in the week I made a trip to Chelsea Old Town Hall located along Kings Road, right next to The Ivy Chelsea Garden. I was there to shop the luxury lingerie sample sale, an annual event that I always seem to miss. This year I managed to book the date off work and got there for the opening. There was already a huge queue outside the hall and I was shocked to see how many other people were there. As a Contour Fashion graduate lingerie has always held a special place in my heart and I like to collect beautiful pieces when I can. Knowing that many of the brands were going to be selling their garments for up to 80% off I couldn’t resist the chance to grab a few bargains.
Edge O’ Beyond was one of the brands that really stood out for me and I was really drawn to the delicate laces used in their collections as well as the signature O gold plated rings featured in each of their designs. At first I just thought it was just a pretty feature but I later found out that they are also used to clip their handcrafted jewellery to, should you happen to invest in any. I love to support British labels and so was pleased to see that Edge O’ Beyond is designed and made here in the UK.
Having never owned any of their designs before I was excited to get my hands on a couple of sets. I fell in love with the black and gold gilt threaded lace bra and high waisted briefs (sadly no longer available online) luckily they still had a set left in my size. The briefs feature detachable suspender straps and a peekaboo back and also come in a beautiful buttercream shade. The set usually retails at around £200 (I paid £60) but even at full price I think it is actually pretty reasonable considering the cost of manufacturing and sourcing fabrics from Europe is way higher than if they were to get their collections produced somewhere like China. I also purchased a similar bra in a silver thread and the matching thong.
Annoyingly the photos I’ve taken really don’t do the sets justice, the camera just doesn’t translate how stunning the lace really is in real life. If you are a sucker for a pretty lingerie set then be sure to check out the Edge O’ Beyond website, they do some gorgeous nightwear too (I’ve got my eye on the Karis dress).
I cant wait to see what the future has in store for Edge O’Beyond. What are your favourite ranges from their current collection?
