Last week I was invited to a Next press day at Somerset House. They had taken over the Portico Rooms to showcase their Spring 2018 collections.

Here are my favourite three trends from the Spring 2018 womenswear preview.

Bright’s

According to Pantone, the Spring colour 2018 palette encourages a sense of fun and playful release. Pantone predict lots bright hues including palace blue (bright blue), cherry tomato (orangey-red)  and Meadowlark (bright yellow).

Next have definitely embraced this trend as their clothes, footwear and accessories featured lots of bold and bright colours.

If you are feeling confident go head to toe with colour or if you like a more subtle look opt for bold accessories such as the bright blue sock boots.

Pastels

Pastels are also in with lots of Rose, mauve and violet hues as the focus.

My favourite pastels in the collection were found in the lingerie. The designs were incredibly feminine and delicate, with sheer fabrics and lace. There was also a lovely pale green saddle bag which I loved.

Lipsy are available to buy through Next and they also had a lot of pastel and Rose colours in their collection. My top pick from the collection was a lovely rose pink lace dress.

Statement Earrings

Statement earrings are one of the accessory trends for Spring 2018.

I already have two pairs of tassel earrings from Next and I am glad this trend is still going strong. I always think that Next nail it with their shoes and accessories and they definitely haven’t let me down.

My favourites were the blue long tassel earrings and the hooped tassel ones.

What trend are you most looking forward to?
