Call me shallow but there’s nothing that motivates me more to get back into the gym than some new activewear. I realise I’m only going to look like one big hot sweaty mess once I start working out but I still like to invest in good quality (and stylish) sportswear. My range of active wear seems to be gradually taking over my wardrobe space and I’ve recently welcomed a new addition to the collection. We were contacted a while ago by the lovely Jessica (check out her Instagram we’re obsessed!) from JD Sports to see if we would be interested in styling up some of their joggers or trackpants for Spring/Summer 17 – a challenge we gladly accepted.
I picked a pair of the Adidas Originals Tape Fleece Pants whilst Lily opted for the Nike Tribute Pants which have a definite 90’s vibe about them. I was so impressed with the fit of mine and they are literally the softest, most comfortable item of clothing I own! So comfortable that I kind of want to live in them. They are perfect for lounging around the house in, to wear on long-haul flights, or of course to wear at the gym. Lily and I both do a pole fitness class on a Wednesday evening so they are great to throw on over our shorts for the warm-up and warm down.
How To Style Your Joggers
Joggers are actually a lot more versatile than they used to be, they no longer have to be reserved just for the gym. You’ve probably spotted Kendall and Gigi rocking theirs for every occasion so here are some ways that you too can style yours.
- For a casual day time look team your joggers with a slouchy plain tshirt, a leather jacket and some pumps.
- Feeling brave? Go for the matching Coord.
- Make sure you don’t overheat this Summer – team yours with your favourite sports bra or a cropped top as I have.
- For a luxe look go for some joggers in a leather effect or satin…dress them up with a pair of heels if you dare.
