Tom Ford is the ultimate luxury beauty brand and I have recently added a few new additions to my collection. I purchased the cream colour for eyes in sphinx as the unusual shade caught my eye.
The cream colour for eyes collection £28.00 comes in eight different metallic shades.
What Tom Ford Say About The Product
“The luxurious, cream eye shadow illuminates eyes in the lustrous glow of eight, ultra-pigmented metallic shades… the versatile, cool and creamy formula seamlessly glides onto the lid to brighten eyes without crease or smudge.”
As with all the items in the Tom Ford beauty collection, the packaging is simplistic and classy. The eyeshadow is contained in a glass pot with the signature mahogany lid, which boldly displays the gold Tom Ford Logo. This is definitely a product to display, not to shut away in your makeup bag.
This eye shadow is so easy to apply, either with a finger or brush, and once dried stays put. The shade of sphinx is unique and looks golden at first but also has hints of peach and pink duo chrome in it which really catch the light. Unfortunately pictures don’t do this eyeshadow justice so I would highly recommend going to a beauty counter and trying it – it really is beautiful! The cream shadow feels extremely lightweight and a little goes a long way. I tend to build the colour up in layers depending on how opaque I want it to be. The shadow can be worn alone or with powder shadow.
I love eyeshadow but it doesn’t love me back. Powder eyeshadows tend to irritate my eyes so I don’t wear them unless I’m going out somewhere special. I love cream eyeshadow as it doesn’t have any fall down of product, which means my eyes don’t get irritated. The Tom Ford Cream Colour for Eyes has been perfect for me. It is no hassle to apply and looks striking without giving me any of the irritation powders cause. Although Tom Ford is an expensive brand, as a collector of makeup, to me it is worth the splurge as an occasional treat.
