Today is our 28th Birthday. We both found our first grey hair last month ? and it got us thinking that although you never really feel like a grown up… We are grown ups. We decided to put together a list of 28 important lessons and things we’ve learnt so far.

  1. The quality of your friends is far more important than the quantity.
  2. The older you get the less you care about what other people think.
  3. You are never too old for Mum’s help.
  4. Fairy washing-up liquid really does last longer.
  5. You can’t please everyone – Just do you!
  6. Benidorm is not in England (Lily).
  7. Travel as much as you can!
  8. Life doesn’t always go according to plan – sometimes it can be even better!
  9. How to use a tin opener (Lily)
  10. Pirate Rock music is actually a thing!
  11. You’ll probably have to kiss a few frogs before you meet your Prince.
  12. Never give up on something you want.
  13. Time is a big healer.
  14. You will regret that eyebrow piercing!
  15. You should start taking care of your skin in your teens!
  16. Gin is not your friend.
  17. You discuss things like “which hoover is the best?” as you get older.
  18. No matter how much you fight it you will start turning in to your Mum.
  19. Naps still rule!
  20. Teenagers speak a different language!
  21. Lefty loosey, righty tighty.
  22. You can’t help someone who doesn’t want to be helped.
  23. Always take your makeup off before bed (Even after a night out).
  24. Kinder eggs are still just as good no matter how old you get (even better served with ice-cream).
  25. Never go to bed on an argument.
  26. Fill your time with the things and people you love.
  27. It’s ok to eat a whole bag of biscuits on your own!
  28. You never stop learning.
